FIXER Go · Pilot in Los Angeles & the SF Bay Area

On-demand help for the set.

When something has to move now, a production books a verified runner on FIXER Go: a prepaid order to stage, a wardrobe return, the ice for lunch. Runners are independent, checked by FIXER and paid through FIXER.

Five kinds of jobs, live today.

Describe the job in one line and FIXER suggests the vehicle, the requirements and a price guide. In the pilot only these jobs are offered:

  • Pick up and drop off

Move items from A to B. Photos at pickup and drop-off; the delivery is completed with the receiver's name and a 4-digit handoff code.

  • Pickup or return

Wardrobe and store returns. Rental camera gear comes later: it moves only with a rental house that takes part in FIXER Go, and none does yet.

  • Prepaid order pickup

The production has already paid the store; the runner checks the order number and never pays for goods.

  • Sealed food, ice or water pickup

Prepaid and sealed; the runner never opens it.

  • Base-to-set hop

A short move on location, from base camp to set.

Not offered: weapons and replicas, pyro, fuel and hazardous materials, drones, alcohol and cannabis, cash, animals, minors, and rides for people. The full list is in Annex A of the Terms.

How it works.

Every step is logged on the run page, and both sides can chat in the app.

  1. Post a run

The production describes the job, the stops, the declared value and its price. FIXER's price guide is only a suggestion. The card is authorized when the run is booked (about 3 days before the run if it starts later).

  2. A verified runner accepts

An approved runner takes the run at that price or makes one counter-offer the production can accept.

  3. Handoff with proof

The runner takes photos at pickup and drop-off, and completes the delivery with the receiver's name and the 4-digit code the production gives the receiver.

  4. Payment

The card is charged when the production confirms delivery, or automatically 2 hours after the delivery is completed unless a problem was reported. The runner is paid to their Stripe account from 48 hours after completion.

Pricing: 15% on top.

The production pays the agreed price plus FIXER's 15% service fee. The runner receives 100% of the agreed price and pays FIXER nothing. Tips go 100% to the runner too.

  • Free cancellation before booking, in the first 5 minutes after booking, and until 2 hours before pickup, provided the runner has not started driving. Later, a cancellation costs a $15 late fee to the runner; once the runner is driving to the pickup, it costs the larger of $15 and the vehicle's base price in the price guide (never more than the price), plus FIXER's 15%.
  • Waiting: the first 15 minutes at pickup are free; after that $10 per started 15 minutes, up to $40, each step approved by the production.
  • The exact total is shown before anyone confirms.

Trust and cover.

Nobody can order or take runs until FIXER has approved their verification and documents.

  1. Productions

A fully verified company (business e-mail plus the identity of the people who act for it), or an individual hirer with a verified identity, within the individual limits of $2,000 per run and $5,000 per month.

  2. Runners

Verified identity, 21 or older, authorized to work in the US, the Runner Agreement accepted, and documents, vehicle and insurance checked and approved by FIXER staff.

  3. Cover is the limit

A runner can take a run only up to the declared value that their own checked, unexpired cargo or goods-in-transit policy covers, or up to the limit of the production's own checked policy attached to the run, always within the caps FIXER shows (lower for a runner's first 5 runs). When a policy expires, the limit drops the same day. A run that an individual hirer orders is always covered by the runner's own insurance, never by a production policy, so its declared value is at most $10,000 (the cover of a runner at the basic level).

FIXER connects productions and runners and provides the tools. It does not carry, handle or insure items and is not a carrier; loss or damage is between the production, the runner and their insurers. See section 12A of the Terms.
